Branch, neon, and rock
31.5 in. x 65 in. x 9.86 in.

Gabriel Rico’s work is described as the interrelation of seemingly disparate objects. Rico frequently uses branches, ceramics, taxidermy, neon, and personal pieces to create sculptures and installations that invite viewers to reflect on the juxtaposition of the very elements that compose them.

Rico has had solo and group exhibitions across the globe: May You Live in Interesting Times (group), 58th Venice Biennale (2019); The Discipline of the Cave, Aspen Art Museum (2019); Cycles of Collapsing Progress, (group) organised by Beirut Museum of Art BEMA, Tripoli (2018); Le Sud BB, Hangar J! New Art Center, Marseille (2018); PROXIMIDAD, The Power Station, Dallas (2017); DEAD, DEAD, LIVE, DEAD, ASU Art Museum (2017)
